The method for producing a member for applying a cosmetic product comprising: In the first step, a pin (31) is arranged in the cavity (29) and in the second step, the pin (31) is moved relative to the cavity (29), and the longitudinal core (5) is injected into a space (47) freed up by the pin (31).
