Abstract

Method and apparatus are disclosed for reducing noise caused by a vehicle brake system. An example vehicle includes an adaptive cruise control (ACC) system, a noise cancellation system, a brake system, and a processor. The processor is configured to receive a deceleration request while the ACC is active, determine a braking characteristic based on the deceleration request, determine a noise signal based on the braking characteristic, and output the noise signal via the noise-cancellation system.
