Abstract
A method performed in a network node of a cellular network that also includes a wireless device, the wireless device being in a discontinuous reception mode having receiving periods and idle periods. The method involves transmitting a first control signal to the wireless device during a receiving period for the wireless device; determining that a first control signal is likely to have failed to be correctly received by the wireless device; and determining that a second control signal needs to be transmitted to the wireless device, the second control signal corresponding to the first control signal. When the wireless device is in an idle period, the method further involves postponing any transmission of the second control signal until the wireless device is in a receiving period; and transmitting the second control signal to the wireless device when the wireless device is in the receiving period.
