Abstract

A vulcanizate of a rubber mixture for a vehicle tire, the rubber mixture containing at least one filler and 10 to 100 phr of at least one polymer A of the following formula: PS—R1—S—R2)n where S is a sulfur atom, and P is a polymer chain which is obtainable by anionic polymerization of at least one conjugated diene and optionally one or more vinylaromatic compounds and which has optionally been chain end-modified, R1 is most preferably C1-C8-alkyl, R2 is preferably selected from H and —SiR3R4R5 in which R3, R4 and R5 are independently selected from H, C1-C16-alkyl, C6-C16-aryl and C7-C16-aralkyl, and n is an integer selected from 1 to 200, where the —S—R1—S—R2 group(s) are bonded to the backbone of the polymer chain P.
