Abstract
A sealing device for sealing a lead-through for a medical instrument that includes a fastening region for fastening the sealing device on a tube or other medical device, a ring-like supporting region which is connected to the fastening region, and an annular sealing lip with an outer edge which is connected to an inner edge of the support portion, and an inner edge which is provided and designed to fluid-tightly abut at an outer surface of a shaft inserted in the sealing device. The difference of the average diameter of the inner edge of the support portion and the mean diameter of a shaft of a medical instrument, for which the sealing device is provided and designed, is not larger than the difference of the average diameter of the shaft and the mean diameter of the inner edge of the sealing lip.
