Abstract
A prosthetic heart valve includes a frame, a valve member, and a sealing member. The frame is expandable from a collapsed state to an expanded state. The frame has inflow and outflow ends, a lumen extending between the ends, and a plurality of struts defining a plurality of cells. The valve member is disposed within the lumen of the frame and is movable between open and closed configurations. The sealing member is mounted inside of the frame. When the frame is in the expanded state and the valve member is in the closed configuration, portions of the sealing member can protrude outwardly through the cells of the frame and extend beyond an exterior surface of the struts of the frame.
