Abstract
An electronic device comprises: a housing; a touchscreen display exposed through a first portion of the housing; at least one connecting member connected to a second portion of the housing; at least one near distance wireless communication circuit positioned in the housing; a hardware secure element configured to store security information; a processor electrically connected to the touchscreen display, the at least one near distance wireless communication circuit, and the hardware secure element and positioned in the housing; and a memory electrically connected to the processor and positioned in the housing. The memory stores a first operating system (OS) including a user interface for a payment application and further stores a first application programming interface (API) for permitting access to the hardware secure element.
