Abstract
A computer-implemented method for location-based notification display includes receiving an indication that a user launched an application at the mobile device. Launching the application changes the application from a background state to a launched state. While the application is in the launched state: requesting a location of the mobile device, based on the location of the mobile device, determining one or more entity locations, and causing the mobile device to register the one or more entity locations. While the application is in the background state: causing the mobile device to register one or more location-triggered notifications, wherein each location-triggered notification is associated with a corresponding entity location.
