Abstract
Provided are an additive for an electrolyte for a lithium battery, an electrolyte for a lithium battery, the electrolyte including the additive, and a lithium battery using the electrolyte. The additive includes a compound represented by Formula 1: [P4O10]x.[B(OSiR1R2R3)3]y Formula 1 By adding the compound to the electrolyte, the lifetime characteristics of the lithium battery at high temperature may be improved.
