Abstract

The present invention relates to a process for producing compounds of formula (I) in which R1, A, X and Z are as defined in the description by reaction of compounds of formula (II) or salts thereof with 2-chloro-5-chloromethylpyridine in a nonpolar aliphatic or aromatic solvent, preferably in the presence of a phase transfer catalyst.
