Abstract
A video encoding method and an electronic device adapted to the method are provided. The electronic device includes: a wireless communication circuit configured to communicate with a first electronic device, a touchscreen configured to display a user interface for performing a video call, a speaker, a microphone, one or more processors electrically connected to the communication circuit, the touchscreen, the speaker, and the microphone, and a memory electrically connected to the one or more processors, wherein the memory stores instructions that, when executed, cause the one or more processors to: receive a signal related to an incoming video call from the first electronic device via the wireless communication circuit, receive a user input accepting the video call via the user interface, transmit a signal accepting the video call to the first electronic device via the wireless communication circuit in response to the user input, receive a video stream from the first electronic device via the wireless communication circuit, wherein the video stream has been adapted at the first electronic device, based at least partly on: status information on the electronic device and/or status inf…
