Abstract
An expandable implant includes a first plate and a second plate spaced from each other along a first direction. The first plate defines a first bone-contacting surface configured to contact a superior vertebral body and the second plate defines a second bone-contacting surface opposed to the first bone contacting surface along the first direction. The second bone contacting surface is configured to contact an inferior vertebral body. The implant includes an actuation member at least partially disposed between the first and second plates with respect to the first direction. The actuation member defines a first axis, a first end and a second end spaced from the first end along a second direction along the first axis. The second direction is perpendicular to the first direction. The implant includes first and second wedge members carried by the actuation member and in engagement with the first and second plates, and also includes a drive member defining a second axis, a proximal end and a distal end spaced from the proximal end along a third direction along the second axis. The third direction is perpendicular to the first direction and offset from the second direction. The drive memb…
