Abstract
A data transmission method, a data transmission apparatus, and a session management device are provided. The data transmission method includes obtaining state information of a UE to which downlink data is destined; selecting, for the UE, a first gateway function entity for transmission of the current downlink data according to the state information of the UE; determining a first data transmission path between the first gateway function entity and a second gateway function entity; and performing the transmission of the downlink data according to the first data transmission path.
