Abstract
An embodiment provides a method for measuring a flow of a fluid using a magnetic flow sensor, including: introducing a magnetic flow sensor into a fluid, wherein the fluid has a flow path, wherein the magnetic flow sensor comprises a coil and metallic field disrupter; positioning the magnetic flow sensor such that a distal end of the magnetic flow sensor is parallel with the flow path of the fluid; and measuring a flow of the fluid by measuring a voltage received from the magnetic flow sensor.
