Abstract

Aminocarboxylate chelating agents are described having generic formulas selected from the group consisting of (A) and (B) wherein R1 through R5 are as further defined herein. Compositions containing at least one of these aminocarboxylate chelating agents are also described. The compositions are useful for example as detergent compositions for laundering clothing and compositions for cleaning dishes, in particular cleaning dishes using automatic dish washing devices.
