Abstract

According to an aspect, there is provided a method performed by a communication network for negotiating a data transfer between an application service and a user equipment, UE, via the communication network. The method comprises: receiving (620), from the application service or a backend controller associated with the application service, a request for network capacity available for data transfer, wherein the request includes an indication of an amount of data to be transferred and one or more trajectories of the UE; determining (630) network capacity along the one or more trajectories based on load information associated with a radio access network, RAN, of the communication network; and sending (640), to the application service or the backend controller associated with the application service, a response including information related the determined network capacity.
