Abstract
A feeding device includes an accommodation unit that accommodates paper, a feeding tray on which the paper is placed in the accommodation unit and that is controlled so as to be lifted and lowered in a case of being replenished with the paper, and a processor configured to determine a lifting and lowering speed of the feeding tray according to an operation by a user, and perform control such that a lifting and lowering speed of the feeding tray becomes slower than the determined lifting and lowering speed in a case of a state where the determined lifting and lowering speed of the feeding tray is unable to be realized.
