Abstract
The present disclosure relates to mir-17˜92 as a candidate therapeutic or diagnostic target of motor neuron (MN) degeneration diseases. Expression of mir-17˜92 is sustained throughout adulthood in spinal MNs and specifically decreases before the onset of MN loss in SOD1G93A mice. Accordingly, mir-17˜92 can be used as a candidate therapeutic target for ALS.
