Abstract
An ink composition for performing printing on an impermeable base material, including water (A), a resin (B) which is at least one selected from the group consisting of an acrylic resin, a polyester resin, and a urethane resin, and an organic solvent (C) which has a boiling point of 250° C. or lower, has no nitrogen atom, and satisfies Expression (C1), in which a total content of the organic solvent (C) is in a range of 0.01% by mass to 5.0% by mass with respect to a total amount of the ink composition. In Expression (C1), SPB represents an SP value of a main resin in the resin (B) in an MPa1/2 unit, SPC represents an SP value of the organic solvent (C) in the MPa1/2 unit, and |SPC−SPB| represents an absolute value of a difference between SPC and SPB: |SPC−SPB|≤10.0 Expression (C1).
