Abstract

A method for producing a portion capsule (1) is proposed, wherein, in a first step, a base element (2), having a capsule bottom (2″), a capsule wall (2′) encircling the capsule bottom (2″), and a flange (5) encircling the capsule wall (2′) are produced in a forming process, wherein, in a second step, a beverage raw material is filled into a capsule interior (3) bordered by the capsule bottom (2″) and the capsule wall (2′), and wherein, in a third step, a capsule cover (4), closing the capsule interior (3), is fastened to the flange (5), characterized in that, after the third step, a bead (6) encircling the capsule wall (2′) is impressed into the flange (5),
