Abstract
Embodiments of a method for operating a mobile application using backend-for-frontend in a tiered software framework comprises: communicating, by a mobile aggregator, first messages over a wireless communication network with a frontend of the mobile application executing in a mobile device, the messages comprising instructions in Remote Procedure Call protocol; identifying services of the mobile application called by the instructions, the services executing in a cloud network; generating second messages in another protocol compatible with communication in the cloud network; and communicating the second messages to the services. The mobile application includes a presentation layer, an application layer, and a data layer. The presentation layer executes in the mobile device, the application layer executes in a first server in the cloud network, the data layer executes in a second server in the cloud network, and the mobile aggregator does not store any history of the messages.
