Abstract
A system for enabling self-service access to fitting rooms or a cluster of fitting rooms for trusted shoppers while restricting access by non-trusted shoppers in a retail environment, comprising: a) providing an individual fitting room or cluster of fitting rooms further comprising a restriction point at which access is restricted; b) providing a means of uniquely identifying an individual attempting to access the fitting room or cluster of fitting rooms; c) providing a means of automatically enabling access to the fitting room or cluster of fitting rooms; d) providing one or more sensors for identifying fitting room behaviors of the individual; e) measuring the fitting room behaviors of the individual during a time when the individual is in proximity of or interacting with the fitting room or cluster of fitting rooms; f) assessing whether the fitting room behaviors of the individual are suspicious or not relative to a set of suspicious event thresholds; g) storing the individual and the fitting room behaviors of the individual as accessible records in at least one database; and h) providing an algorithm which determines future access privileges of the individual to the fitting roo…
