Abstract
A wound dressing (10) includes a backing layer and a wound-site adhesive layer for adhering the backing layer to the wound. The backing layer has a shape including three lobes 14, 16, 18 in which each lobe is defined as an area enclosed by a pair of curved peripheral edges 14′, 14″, 16′, 16″, 18′, 18″ which meet at an apex located therebetween 14′″, 16′″, 18′″. Each lobe is separated from an adjacent lobe by a radial minima 26, 28, 30. The three lobes include a major lobe 14 and two minor lobes 16, 18. The major lobe has a length which is greater than each of the two minor lobes.
