Abstract

A dyeing composition for keratin fibers having a pH of 6 to 12 comprising a hair dye, 5 wt. % or more of a C2-C4 alcohol, a non-ionic surfactant having an HLB value of 11 or less, a quaternary ammonium surfactant according to Formula (I): wherein R1 is a C17 to C22 alkyl or alkylene group, R2 is a C1 to C22 alkyl or alkylene group, R3 and R4 are each independently a C1 to C4 alkyl or alkylene group, and X− is a halide, sulfate, or methosulfate anion, and 0.5 to 10 wt. % of a quaternary ammonium surfactant according to Formula (II): wherein R5 is a C8 to C16 alkyl or alkylene group, R6 is a C1 to C16 alkyl or alkylene group, R7 and R8 are each independently a C1 to C4 alkyl or alkylene group, and Y− is a halide, sulfate or methosulfate anion.
