Abstract
Self-bonding, heat-curable silicone rubber composition comprising (a) a diorganopolysiloxane polymer (b) a curing catalyst and (c) a compound of the formula, ##EQU1## where R.sup.6 is selected from alkyl radicals and hydrogen, Z is seleccted from COO, phenylene, CO, CONH and CON-R.sup.2, R.sup.2 is selected from monovalent hydrocarbon radicals and halogenated monovalent hydrocarbon radicals, R.sup.5 is selected from unsaturated monovalent hydrocarbon radicals and unsaturated halogenated monovalent hydrocarbon radicals, G.sup.1 is selected from hydrogen, R.sup.2 radicals and R.sup.5 radicals. There may also be used in the above composition a process aid, a filler, and other ingredients commonly used in heat-curable silicone rubber compositions. In place of the maleate set forth above, and/or in addition to the maleate set forth above, there may be used a silylmaleate.
