Abstract
A hair dye composition comprising a fluid direct-dye hair dye vehicle suitable for application to human hair containing a tinctorially effective amount of a hair dye of formula: ##SPC1## In which: PA1 A. R is an electron donor functional group; PA1 B. y is a whole number from 0 to 1 inclusive; and PA1 C. x is a whole number from 1 to 2 inclusive. Also describes a method of dyeing hair using these compositions and further describes certain novel nitrodiphenylamine dyes.
