Abstract
Process for the dyeing nitrogenous textile fibers in the presence of dyeing auxiliaries which are amphoteric derivatives of polyglycol compounds containing a) an aliphatic hydrocarbon radical containing 12 to 24 carbon atoms, which is bound to nitrogen and b) --(CH.sub.2 --CH.sub.2 --O--).sub.k groups bound to nitrogen, where k is a whole positive number, the molecule containing in all 4 to 12 --CH.sub.2 CH.sub.2 --O-groups, which polyglycol compounds are, on the one hand quaternated with organic halogen compounds and, on the other hand esterified on at least one --CH.sub.2 --CH.sub.2 --OH group with at least dibasic oxygen acids with formation of acid ester groups. The process of the present invention is especially suitable for dyeing wool at any stage of processing.
