Abstract
This invention is directed to: (1) a process for increasing the pore diameter of siliceous gels without decreasing the pore volume in which a siliceous hydrogel is dried at a temperature of up to 500.degree., C, to produce a siliceous gel having an average pore diameter greater than 40 A, and then contacted with an ammoniacal medium; and (2) the product produced by said process.
