Abstract

A continuous process for the chlorination of one or more dichlorinated ethylene derivatives and/or vinyl chloride in admixture with one or more chlorinated ethane derivatives, said reaction being carried out in a liquid phase in the absence of catalyst and in the absence of light radiations by passing the mixture with molecular chlorine through at least two reaction zones in series at a temperature within the range of 20.degree.-90.degree. C.
