Abstract
Apparatus and method for continuously removing ferrous particulate matter from an image bearing element being transported along a predetermined path in an electrostatic copying machine. Ferrous particulate matter is magnetically attracted away from the element as it moves along its path. A receiver, preferably movable on an endless path, receives the particulate matter attracted away from the element and conveys the particulate matter to a predetermined location.
