Abstract
Paint binders substantially free from epoxide groups and manufactured by reacting A. Mannich bases of PA1 A.sub.1. condensed phenols, PA1 A.sub.2. a secondary amine bearing at least 1 hydroxyalkyl group and PA1 A.sub.3. formaldehyde with B. at least one epoxy resin. These binders are suitable, in the acid-protonized form, for use in cathodic immersion electrocoating of electrically conductive surfaces.
