Abstract
An acidified detergent composition is prepared by acidifying aqueous alkali metal silicate to form a premix; mixing that premix with an aqueous slurry containing surfactant and at least one structurant, i.e. structure-forming compound; drying; and optionally adding admixed adjuvant. Alkali metal pyrophosphate must be included in the composition, either as structurant or admixed adjuvant or both.
