Abstract
Dicyclohexylphenyltin compounds of the general formulae ##STR1## effectively combat fungi and mites when applied to these organisms or to objects, particularly plants, that are susceptible to attack by the organisms, yet are less phytotoxic than the corresponding triphenyltin compounds. In the foregoing formulae X is a chlorine, bromine, fluorine, hydroxyl, carboxylate, phenoxy, alkoxy (-OR.sup.1) or mercaptide (-SR.sup.2) radical wherein R.sup.1 represents an alkyl radical containing between 1 and 12 carbon atoms, inclusive, R.sup.2 is a radical selected from the same group as R.sup.1 or an aryl radical and Y is an oxygen, sulfur, or a sulfate radical.
