Abstract
A method for producing a novel immunizing agent is described. The immunizing agent is anti-HB.sub.s gamma globulin essentially free of fibrinogen, plasminogen, 19 S globulin and lipids found to be effective in immunizing against hepatitis B virus disease. The method of producing this material involves fractionation of human plasma utilizing selective solvent and control of pH, temperature and ionic strength.
