Abstract
Novel benzophenone derivatives of the formula ##STR1## wherein X and X.sub.1 are individually selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, halogen, alkyl of 1 to 5 carbon atoms, alkoxy of 1 to 5 carbon atoms, alkylthio of 1 to 5 carbon atoms, CF.sub.3 O--, CF.sub.3 S-- and CF.sub.3 --, R is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen and alkyl of 1 to 5 carbon atoms and R.sub.1 is an aliphatic hydrocarbon of the formula EQU --(CH.sub.2).sub.a --CH = CH--(CH.sub.2).sub.b --H or --(CH.sub.2).sub.a --CH.sub.2 --CH.sub.2 --(CH.sub.2).sub.b --H where a and b are whole numbers between 0 and 16 and whose sum is not greater than 16 which have a very clear analgesic activity.
