Abstract

A solvent resistant room temperature vulcanizable silicone rubber composition comprising a blend of vinyl-terminated polysiloxanes having from 2 to 98 mole percent of alkylperfluoroalkylalkylene siloxy units in the polymer chain, a hydride cross-linking agent selected from the class consisting of hydride-containing resins composed of mono-functional units and tetrafunctional units and hydride-containing polysiloxanes or a mixture of the above cross-linking agents which composition is cured in the presence of a platinum catalyst. The above composition cures to an elastomer at room temperature or elevated temperatures. Preferably, there is incorporated into the composition a treated filler which gives the cured elastomer physical strength properties.
