Abstract

An improved method for preparing modified organopolysiloxanes which comprises graft polymerizing monomers containing aliphatic unsaturation onto organopolysiloxanes in the presence of a free radical and an inert liquid having a boiling point up to about 100.degree. C. at 760 mm Hg (abs.) and which is a nonsolvent for the organopolysiloxanes and the graft polymers at the applicable polymerization temperatures.
