Abstract

Dyes of the formula: ##STR1## in which D is the radical of a diazo component; PA0 R.sup.1 is hydrogen, chloro, bromo, methoxy or ethoxy; PA0 R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 independently of one another are hydrogen, chloro, bromo, methyl, ethyl, trifluoromethyl, nitro, methylsulfonyl, ethylsulfonyl, phenylsulfonyl, unsubstituted or N-substituted carbamoyl or sulfamoyl, carboxylic ester, unsubstituted or substituted C-acylamino or phthalimidyl; or PA0 R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 together form a radical of the formula: ##STR2## The dyes are eminently suitable for coloring printing inks, surface coatings and resins with excellent fastness properties.
