Abstract
The present invention relates to partially polymerized products obtained by hydrolysis of .beta.-halogenoethyl-silanes and to the hydrolysis of the said monomeric silanes with water or an aqueous medium. The dimers are the preferred final products. The invention is further concerned with agents and methods for the regulation and control of plant development, especially for promoting fruit abcission as well as resin and latex flow in trees, using the said partially polymerized .beta.-halogeno silane hydrolysates as the active ingredients.
