Fluorescent paper dyes, green-yellow to orange in color, having the formula ##STR1## wherein Y = O or S PA1 Z = h or CH.sub.3 PA1 n = 0 or 1 and PA1 M = h, li, Na, K, NH.sub.4, or substituted ammonium.
