Abstract
Antibacterial cephems having the following formula: ##STR1## (WHEREIN A is amino or substituted amino; COB is carboxy or protected carboxy; PA1 R is two hydrogens, hydrogen and a monovalent substituent, or a divalent substituent; and PA1 n is zero or one) Are prepared by reducing a compound having the following formula: ##STR2## (WHEREIN A, COB, R, and n are as defined above and X is halo or sulfonyloxy) With a reducing reagent.
