Abstract
A polymer is disclosed having ion exchange properties, and characterized by the presence of units of the formula: ##STR1## optionally associated with units of the formula: ##STR2## in which: R.sub.1 and R.sub.2, which may be identical or different, represent a hydrogen atom or a methyl radical; PA1 E represents a divalent radical consisting of the nucleus system of a polynuclear diphenol in which the hydroxyl group are attached to different nuclei; PA1 x and n are positive integers; and PA1 M.sup.n+ represents a cation of valency n.
