Abstract
A catalyst for reforming hydrocarbon fuels into a hydrogen-rich reformed gas comprising an active carrier consisting of magnesium aluminate of spinel structure as represented by the formula EQU MgAl.sub.2 O.sub.4 and at least one catalyst metal selected from the group consisting of platinum, rhodium and a mixture thereof supported by said carrier.
