Abstract

Described are aqueous, stable, highly concentrated, finely dispersed, flowable preparations of dyestuffs and optical brighteners insoluble to difficultly soluble in water, which preparations have a low content of dispersing agent and a particle size smaller than 10 .mu., particularly smaller than 2 .mu., characterized in that these preparations contain at least 10 percent by weight of water, at least 30 percent by weight of a finely dispersed dyestuff or optical brightener insoluble to difficultly soluble in water, and a mixture consisting of at most 10 percent by weight of an anion-active dispersing agent, at most 5 percent by weight of a nonionic dispersing agent and at most 35 percent by weight of a hydrotropic agent, as well as, optionally, further additives which preparations are useful for the dyeing, printing and optical brightening of textile material in a conventional manner or for the production of printing pastes having an aqueous base or a water-in-oil-emulsion base which printing pastes are useful for the printing of carrier materials, particularly paper with application of dyestuffs or optical brighteners suitable for transfer printing and use of the printed carrier m…
