Abstract

A resinous composition comprising (1) 40 - 90 parts by weight of one or more oligomers obtained by reacting a polyvalent alcohol or its derivative with a fatty acid derived from oils and fats, and a monobasic acid of the formula, ##STR1## wherein X is an .alpha.,.beta.-unsaturated hydrocarbon group having 2 or 3 carbon atoms, and (2) 10 - 60 parts by weight of one or more polymerizable monomers having at least one polymerizable double bond in the molecule, is particularly suitable for use in coating, and casting for electric insulation. The resinous composition can be used in solventless and can prevent bad odor of styrene. Coating films obtained from the resinous composition are excellent in resistance to blocking, resistance to solvents, resistance to stains, hardness, gloss, flexibility and the like.
