Abstract
Identical strips of magnetic metal having alternating slots and pole teeth long one edge are cut from sheet material in a pattern minimizing waste of metal, stacked, and bent into a cylinder or sector of a cylinder. The ends of the stacks are then fastened together to form a rotor or stator.
