Abstract
New amine salts of reactive dyestuffs as well as the use of these amine salts for the dyeing and printing of organic material are disclosed. The new dyestuffs contain an amine salt of an acid, salt-forming, water-solubilizing group, and are of the formula EQU D--[X].sub.n-1 SO.sub.2 -CH.sub.2 CH.sub.2 -Z.sup..crclbar. [Y-H] H.sup..sym. (I) wherein D represents the radical of an organic dyestuff selected from an azo, formazan, anthraquinone, phthalocyanine, nitro and triphenylmethane dyestuff containing no salt-forming, water-solubilizing groups, X represents the bridge member --CH.sub.2 --, --CH.sub.2 CH.sub.2 -- or ##STR1## wherein R represents hydrogen, alkyl having 1 to 5 carbon atoms, or cycloalkyl, Z.sup..crclbar. represents --OSO.sub.3.sup..crclbar., --SSO.sub.3.sup..crclbar. or --OPO.sub.3 H.sup..crclbar., Y represents the radical of certain primary or secondary amines Y-H, which amines are capable of salt formation and n represents the number 1 or 2. The new amine salts of reactive dyestuffs are characterized by their good to excellent solubility in nonpolar aprotic solvents or mixtures of solvents.
