Abstract
Disclosed is a novel microimaging method suitable for photo-composition. The method involves: PA1 (a) providing a film comprising an organic polymer as matrix material having uniformly dispersed therein: PA1 I. a photochemically reactive organo diselenide characterized by the formula: EQU R.sub.1 --Se--Se--R.sub.2 PA1 wherein R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 are aralkyl or alkyl hydrocarbon moieties; PA1 Ii. a tertiary phosphine or phosphite characterized by the formula: ##STR1## wherein each n is 0 in the case of a phosphine and 1 in the case of a phosphite and R.sub.3, R.sub.4 and R.sub.5 are, independently, substituted or unsubstituted aryl hydrocarbon moieties, and PA1 Iii. an azo organic peroxide characterized by the formula: EQU R.sub.6 -- N .dbd. N -- R.sub.7 PA1 wherein R.sub.7 is a peroxycarboxylic acid ester moiety and R.sub.6 is either a straight or branched chain alkyl group containing from 4 to 10 carbon atoms or the same as R.sub.7 ; PA1 (b) exposing the film in an imagewise manner to ultraviolet radiation to form an image therein; and PA1 (c) heating the exposed film to a temperature of at least about 75.degree. C for a time sufficient, depending on the magnitude of the irradiati…
