Abstract

The specification describes a cardiac frequency measuring instrument which has a frequency measuring device to be carried on the arm of a user. A cable connects the measuring instrument with measuring electrodes carried on the body and with an optical display for the measured heart frequency. There is a miniaturized digital circuit accommodated in the housing having the size of a wrist watch with a minimum electrical power* for the digital measurement and display of the cardiac frequency. Use is made of a resonant amplifier, connected as a high pass filter, for suppressing the amplification and display of motional artefacts. FNT *consumption or dissipation
