Abstract
A tridecapeptide, [Gln.sup.4 ]-neurotensin, has been effectively synthesized and which has the sequence (pyro)glutamyl-leucyl-tyrosyl-glutaminyl-asparaginyl-lysyl-prolyl-arginyl- arginyl-prolyl-tyrosinyl-isoleucyl-leucyl-acid. [Gln.sup.4 ]-neurotensin has the unique hormonal activities and chemical structure of the native hormone in bovine hypothalamic tissue.
